The Patriot of Lake George

The Patriot of Lake George is a gift shop and museum dedicated to the remembrance of veterans and service personnel of all branches. The Museum is free to the public, but donations are always appreciated.  It displays medals, uniforms, local history and items from all wars including, The French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, World War I and World War II, Korea, Vietnam, The Gulf War of 1991, and the War in Iraq and Afghanistan. The museum is dedicated to all veterans, but a large emphasis is on the Purple Heart medal and dozens of its recipients are remembered.

The gift shop specializes in historic military memorabilia and toy soldiers. We carry the Conte Collectibles line of hand-painted metal figures as well as Britain’s and Old Glory Miniatures. 21st Century Toys’ outstanding series of 1/18th scale airplanes are represented as well.

We also sell the most realistic line of AIRSOFT guns and ammo in the area, electric full-auto as well as spring-fired models. The gift shop has items of interest to both collectors and historians alike. This is not an army surplus store; we work hard at finding historic items of original manufacture and origin.  We are always looking to buy military items from one item to entire collections or accumulations.

If you like the History Channel or antique military items, stop by and take a look; the Museum is free. Come and remember the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to keep us free.  We are located off the parking lot at 175 Canada Street, behind Fire and Ice bar, next to Pizza Mangia’s in downtown Lake George- an easy walk from anywhere in the village.  Below is just a glimps of what’s inside click a bottom or top corner of a picture page and drag it to change pages. Stop buy and take a look.  Summer hours are 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm (10:00 pm on fireworks nights).
